Mr. Eric D. Suiter

Eric Delmarrio Suiter, 33, entered eternal rest and peace on Tuesday, July 28,2009, at Mary Immaculate Hospital. He was born in Newport News, Virginia on December 25, 1975 to his mother Cecelia Suiter-Patton and father Thomas Crudup. Eric was affectionately known to many as "Suiterboy' and from the days of early youth, started on a journey with the gifts and talents that God had given him. Eric received his first turn table as a youngster and the rest is history! He became a well know Disc Jockey and was known by all as "DJ Big-E", creating "Phat Flavz" and "Still Shinnin". Eric had the mind of an entrepreneur and transformed his gifts, talents and hobbies into a full blown, money making master plan. God's plans lead Eric on a path of many possibilities. He acquired the gift of Graphic Design and with determination, became the CEO of "Suiterboy Graphics". Sitting idol was not an option. He was determined to make much, out of what started out as little, and believed that God would make a way out of no way. He knew nothing was possible without having God in his life. He seized every opportunity that God placed before him, in hopes' of guaranteeing a prosperous future for his son, Isaiah Suiter-Dove. As many know, Eric was a jack of all trades. He came across the opportunity to form an Ice Cream business and didn't hesitate twice. He then became the owner of "Suiter boy Treats". Throughout Eric's established career, many long term relationships were established. What started out as a business venture, turned into a road oflife long friends, whom he loved and cherished dearly. Eric's humble and roving spirit gained him the love and support of the entire community. If you needed it, E had it and if he didn't have it, he said "I Got You" and would bend over backwards to help you. He was loved by many and was known for always having a kind word and giving the perfect advice. He was the only child to his mother, whom he loved whole heartedly, and in his last days, commended her for always being there! He so frequently called her his "buddy". He was motivated by his son, and that love was demonstrated through his consistent presence in his son's life. Not only were they father and son, but their relationship was that of buddies and best friends. His shadow, his "Little-E"! Eric touched many lives and definitely left an eternal mark while here on earth. We lost the love of our lives but Heaven gained an angel with a big heart. He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Isaiah Cire Suiter-Dove and mother Cecelia Suiter-Patton, both of Newport News, VA, father and stepmother Thomas & Barbara Crudup of Essex, MD, paternal grandfather Redmond Crudup of Conway, Sc., one half brother Thomas Davis of Newport News, three stepbrothers James Jr., Eric & Shaun Patton all of Newport News; and a host of special Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and life long special friends that were close to his heart. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jessie and Lucy Suiter, paternal grandmother Lucretia Britt and his stepfather James Patton Sr. "Weeping may endure for the night, But Joy Comes in the morning." A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Joynes Road Church of God, 31 Joynes Road Hampton, VA 23666. Viewing will be held from 12:00 noon until 7:00 pm on Monday, August 3, 2009 at the funeral Home. Interment will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery.
