Mr. Frank Watson

Psalms 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholdth him with His hand. On the evening of Tuesday, September 15, 2015, Frank Watson was called to his heavenly home at 8:13 pm at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People since he was a child. He was also a faithful fan of the Minnesota Vikings NFL football team for years. Frank was known for making his own words as well as his own dances; such as "The Question Mark" and "The Clock". Frank Watson was born on June 15, 1948, to the late Lillian Mae Saunders and Albert Gardner Watson. He attended the Newport News Public School System until the 11th grade. He then joined Job Corp where he received his GED and trade skills for Auto mechanics. He worked for Nutall Bros. for over a decade as well as other contractors over the years. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. If there was anything he could do to help you he would. He enjoyed listening to gospel and "oldies but goodies" everyday all day. He loved his wife, daughter and grandchildren to the moon and back. Frank Watson was preceded in death by both parents, Lillian Mae Saunders-Watson on Newport News and Albert Gardner Watson of James City County; two sisters: Loretta Watson and Diane Watson, both of Newport News; two brothers: Michael Lewis and Eric Lewis, both of Newport News. He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Pearl Watson; one daughter Tamara Watson (Gayle Sheppard); two grandchildren: Zhane Watson and Zachery Watson all of Newport News; four brothers: Albert Gardner Lewis, Larry Watson, Victor Lewis, and Donald Watson all of Newport News; four sisters: Gwendolyn Lewis, Esther Newman, Sandra Anne Lewis of Virginia, and Laurie Anne Mallory of KY; one great aunt Susie Rumble of Newport News; one special great niece: LaShondra "Clock Clock" Walker or Newport News; one special nephew Kevin "Skee Bo" Vines os Newport News; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 12 pm until 6 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 12 pm at The United House of Prayer for All People located at 1811 Ivy Ave. Newport News, VA. 23607.
