Mrs. Juanita Clanton

Reflection of Life Juanita Jacquelyn Clanton was born on August 27,1949, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to the late Allen and Rosie Lee Holman. She was the ninth born of twelve children. She is survived by her sisters, Rose Cooley (William), Dorothy Maxey, Margaret Watson, Peggy Bledsoe, Sherry Draper (Terry), her brother Garry Holman, and four sisters in law, Dorethen Holman, Jervene Holman, Sheryl Holman, and Diane McDowell. Juanita received her High School Diploma from the Ohio Department of Education in 1987, and went on to marry her late husband, Peter Clanton. She accepted Christ at an early age and remained dedicated to the Lord throughout her life. Juanita served as an Usher for several years at three churches, was a member of the Dorothy L. Allen Usher Board, and a graduate of the Molten Bible Institute at Mount Olivet Church in Richmond, VA. Most recently, Juanita was a dedicated member of Fair Oaks Baptist Church where she served as a Greeter. Juanita was known for her kind and loving, yet down to earth spirit. She was always willing to help anyone in need, no matter the situation. Juanita was called home to the Lord unexpectedly on Friday, August 19, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her homegoing, her three children, Shalena Reynolds, Dwayne Holman (Shalonda), Serita Williams (Eric Horice); three stepchildren, Kevin Clanton, Jacqueline McClenden, Loretta Tyler; sons-in-law Curtis Reynolds and Aaron Williams Sr; thirteen grandchildren, Tashauna, Ta'Shae, Deshon (Davisha), D'Shawna, Da'Jua, Da'Nae (Mantayvious), Aaron Jr, Tyler, Demarkis, Eric Zymere, Christian, Paris, and bonus grandson Maceion; four great grandchildren, DaMiyah, DeMar, DeMonte, DaZhariaa, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and many other children who knew her as "grandma" who will all miss her dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 A.M., Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Fair Oaks Baptist Church, 1701 E. Nine Mile Rd., Highland Springs, VA, Pastor Fermer Taylor, Jr., officiant. The service will be live streamed. Public viewing will be Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 4-6 PM at Tucker & Fisher Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg, VA.
