Ms. Edmonia Booth

Ms. Edmonia (Monia) Booth, 73, of Chesterfield, Virginia, departed this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Riverview Health and Rehab Center. She was born to the late Chester and Edmonia Dean Booth. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Lottie Dickerson, Barbara Booth, Mary Booth, Rebecca Donikens, Louvenia Booth, and Darlene Booth, and one brother, Henry Booth. Edmonia was educated in Chesterfield County Public School System, Chesterfield, VA. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, (S. Chesterfield) where until she took ill, she attended regularly. She found joy in going to church on Sunday and worshipping the Lord with her family. Edmonia had a caregiver's heart as she spent many years tending to the needs of the seniors throughout the community. Her smile could light up a room and her laughter were contagious. To know her was to love her as she always found a place in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of encountering her. Edmonia leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Lottie G. Williams (Charlie) of Prince George, VA and Mary Anna Monson (Lloyd) of Americus, GA; one devoted son, Herbert O. Booth of Colonial Heights, VA; two granddaughters, Natasha Guerrant of Seattle, WA and Tamara Guerrant of Richmond, VA; one grandson, David Thompson of Chesterfield, VA; great-granddaughter, Olivia Guerrant of Richmond, VA; four siblings, Louise West, Shirley Talley, and Willie Booth all of Richmond, VA and Brenda Swann (the Late Bernard) of Chesterfield, VA, both who were devoted in her care; a host of nieces, one devoted, Dr. Melissa N. Freeman; nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews; along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Tucker and Fisher Celebration of Life Chapel, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg, VA, Rev. Dr. Marcus N. Leggett, Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, S. Chesterfield, VA, officiant and Dr. Melissa N. Freeman, eulogist. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, South Chesterfield, VA. The service will be live streamed. Public viewing will be Monday, August 29, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
