Mrs. Ella Goode

God in His infinite wisdom dispatched an Angel to escort home our beautiful beloved Ella Mae Mosby Goode, affectionately known as "Mae", 78 years old of 8101 Reedy Branch Rd., Chesterfield, VA. Ella transitioned from her earthly home to eternal rest on Friday, December 24, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Ella was born May 8, 1943 in Chesterfield, VA to the late Henry Dallas and Mary Dean Crew Mosby. Ella accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Chesterfield County, VA. Ella attended Chesterfield County Public Schools. She was a graduate of John Tyler Community College. Ella loved nursing and was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. She was employed for over 40 years at Lucy Corr Nursing Home. In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas "Mickey" Madison; three brothers, Willie Bernard Mosby, Dallas Texas Mosby and Herbert J. Mosby, and one brother-in-law, Samuel Clark, Sr. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her four children, Alfreda Goode of Chesterfield, VA, Alfred Goode, Jr. (Vickie) of Petersburg, VA, Berthel Goode Reaves (Tony) of Richmond, VA and Michael Goode (Julia) of Chesterfield, VA; seven grandchildren, Durrell McCoy, Jody McCoy, Alfred Jamar Downey, DeVonte Wells, Asia Wells, Josiah Townes and Howshard Hutcherson; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Wilkins of Chesterfield, VA, Bettie Conley of St. Johns County, Florida and Mary Clark of Chesterfield, VA; two brothers, Lonny Mosby, Sr. of Denver, CO and Andrew Mosby, Sr. of Chester, VA; one aunt, Irene Haskins of Chesterfield, VA; two sisters-in-law, Goldie Marie Mosby of Chesterfield, VA and Madeline Mosby of Petersburg, VA; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Tucker & Fisher Celebration of Life Chapel on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. with Evangelist Eliza Bailey offficiating. interment will follow at the Mosby Cemetery, Chesterfield, VA. The service will be live streamed. Public viewing will be Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
