Mrs. Jacqueline Jones-Gartrell

Mrs. Jacqueline "Big Sexy" Jones-Gartrell, 56, transitioned from Earth to her reward on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia. She was born August 22, 1964 to Leroy Jones and Loretha Rogers. Jackie, as she was often called loved to cook, eat, sing and entertain family and friends as only she could do. Everything had to be the way she wanted or you knew it. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Gartrell; grandparents, Clyde and Gracie Couch Rogers; grandchild, Aaliyah; four aunts; eight uncles; four great-aunts; four great-uncles and many cousins. She leaves to cherish her many memories: mother, Loretha Baugh (Gerald); father, Leroy Jones of Ohio; five daughters, Ebony Jones, Kemisha Jones, Milika Edmonds (Demetrius), Shiday Jones (Raheem) and Dominique Jones; son, Shaquille Jones (Sateria); sister, Stacey Tedwell (Howard) of GA; brothers, Leroy Jones and Orlando Dodson (Janet); grandchildren, Kam'ron, Kilik, Kaamill, K'Viana, Demere, King and Mekhi; aunts, Dianne Stevens, Candis Watkins, Mabel Johnson all of VA, Alberta Matthews, Brenda Paige and Margaret Jones all of OH; uncles, Henry Jones, Mark Jones, Johnnie Jones all of OH, Essic Jones of GA, Charles Jones of TX and Garfield Lee of VA; step-sister, Crystal Baugh; step-grandparents, James and Virginia Baugh; nieces, Stacy, Kiara, Yaminah and Ja'Niya; nephews, Josiah and Brandon; a host of cousins, devoted, Juanita Branch, Rodney Rogers and Alexander Couch; friends, devoted, Soraya Seymore, Samera Seymore and LaToya Thompson; two brothers-in-love, Covance Witherspoon and Wayne Stevens; son-in-love, Corey Wesson; a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 12:00 P.M., Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Tucker and Fisher Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg, VA.
