Mrs. Millie L Robinson

On August 25, 1959, Millie Robinson, affectionately called Mill Mill, Minnie Mouse, Millie Mill was born to the late Thomas E. Jones and Marion L. Jones-Valentine. Millie transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Greenbrier Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, VA while on hospice. Millie graduated from Menchville High School in 1977. She went on to further her education at culinary arts school and she pursued a career as a cook for a short while, showcasing her passion for food and hospitality. She found solace and community at the House of Prayer, where she worshipped and was greatly loved. In her leisure time, Millie enjoyed spending time at church, with her family, and cooking. She also found joy in playing cards and bingo, listening to music, and simply savoring life to the fullest. Millie was the life of the party, known for her ability to engage everyone with her riddles and her unwavering love for those around her. Millie didn't meet any strangers. Millie is preceded in death by her parents Thomas E. Jones and Marion L. Jones-Valentine, three brothers, Matthew Valentine (Batman), Jackie Deloatch, Robert Deloatch (Bobby), and one sister Denise Jones. Millie leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories, one daughter Jetran Robinson (Ronita) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and her son Michael Robinson of Newport News, Virginia. one adored granddaughter Dai'Ja Robinson of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and one sister Marian Jones of Newport News, Virginia. Two brothers Romie Deloatch (Elaine) of Fort Washington, MD, and Victor Gilchrist (Sharyn) of Charlotte, NC three close friends Myrna Elam, Wanda Artis, and Deborah Coppedge all of Newport News, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and many friends. Millie Mill will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Dear Family of Ms. Millie L.
