Mr. Waverly O'Neal Towler

Waverly O'Neal Towler, fondly known as Supreme Wise Allah or 'Wise' to all his family and friends, finished his journey on September 13, 2022. Wise was born on March 19, 1972 to Mary Ann Towler and Sam Hunter. He was raised in downtown Newport News and was educated in the Newport News School System. For several years Wise was molded and shaped by his time in the penal system where he instructed others on the mathematics of the True History of the Five Percent Nation of Gods and Earths. He loved weight lifting, anything fried that was not pork, hanging with this childhood friends, and he enjoyed himself a nice cold top. The most important and closet thing in his heart was his daughter Imani. For him the sun rose and sat with her. Wise spent several of his later years employed as a machine operator at Plymkraft and a skilled laborer building pump stations with Shaw Construction Corporation until he was injured on the job. Thereafter Wise was disabled. To know Wise and be in his company was to be filled with smiles and lots of laughter. He was always the life of the party. If you knew him, he would respond to these comments about himself by saying "No doubt.", "That's what it is.", "Already!!. Wise was preceded in death by our beloved mother, Mary Ann Towler, and his dear friends Lisa and Charley. Wise leaves to cherish his memory a daughter Imani Tarjae Towler, 1 sister Alethea Towler-Lambert (Billy Jones), and 2 brothers Antonio Towler and Allister Towler (Stephanie Moore). A great uncle Leon Towler. His nieces and nephews Jermando Towler (Asia Harris), Duquan Lambert, Alonzo Rice Jr., Junious, Jordan, Jazymn, Jai, Jace, Gabriel, Jermaiah, Jamariah, and Jachielle. The mother of his beloved daughter Tiffany Woodley and the Woodley family. Wise has a large extended family also: His adopted daughter India, his extended brothers and sisters Ink, Sam, NuNu, TeeTee, Mo, and Paulette. He will be truly missed by his significant other Lisa Bias, and his loving confidant Tonia Copling and the Copling family. The family would like to extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to everyone who listened to our brother's stories, tolerated his special craziness, laughed at his unique character, and genuinely loved our baby brother Wavery 'Wise' Towler. We know that he will always have an exceptional place carved in our hearts in the shape of The Supreme Wise Allah. The family will be receiving friends, flowers, gifts, and tokens of love at 807 Lassiter Dr. Newport News, VA each day from 4pm - 9pm and after services until 10pm.
