Ms. Annette Ruth Payne

April 6, 1964 - October 23, 2021

Annette Ruth Payne (Keep it Real Major Payne) was called to rest on Saturday, October 23, 2021. She was born April 6th, 1964, to the late William and Harriette Payne Jr. of Campbell County, Virginia. She attended Newport News Public Schools. She attended St. Paul AME Church of Newport News, VA., and Mount Airy Baptist Church of Altavista, VA. She was preceded in death by both parents. She leaves to cherish her memories with her grandmother, Myrtle Cox of Altavista, VA, and her three children: Shirod (Dontae) Payne (Keisha) and Antonio Payne of Newport News, VA, and Kyera Payne of Atlanta, GA. Her three brothers, Glen Payne, and Wellie Payne(Davis) of Newport News, VA, and William Payne lll (Beverly) of Chesapeake, VA. Three sisters, Faye Payne of Altavista, VA, Theresa Payne (Jerry) of Atlanta, GA, and Harriette (Lisa) Branch (Ralph) of Jacksonville, FL. Five grandchildren, Dontae, Tayshawn, Maraya, Gabrielle, and Samiyah. Special friends, Antoinette Wiggins, Jackie Lewis, Alonzo Barnes, Robin Askew, and Rosiland (Roz) Sherman (cousin). Special thanks to her caregiver Danielle (Nikki) Kittles. A host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The Family will Always remember her as " The Life of the Party with Keeping it Real" She will be truly Missed and Loved
