Mrs. Dana Deshan Thomas
October 21, 1971 - August 19, 2021
On August 19, 2021, our beloved Dana Bowles Thomas was called home to be with the Lord. Dana was born October 21, 1971, in Newport News Virginia. She was educated in the Newport News Public School System. She worked several years at the Goodwill Thrift Store and left due to health reasons. Dana met and married the love of her life Johnny Thomas in 2013. Johnny loved and supported his beautiful wife until she went home to be with the Lord. He was always by her side. Dana was fun, loving, kind, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She would speak her mind and did not have a problem being direct. If it needed to be said, she would say it! Her passion, as everyone knew, was playing BINGO. This hobby brought her so much joy and happiness. I know she's in heaven calling out bingo numbers. Her ultimate jackpot came when she was able to rest in her Master's loving arms, free of pain and free of suffering. Dana is preceded in death by her father, Langston Pierce; two sisters, Janice Tapp, and Johnsie Clark. She leaves to cherish her precious memories and legacy, her loving husband, Johnny Thomas; mother, Elizabeth Bowles; stepfather Randell Claiborne; three sons, Donald, Daniel, and Da'Shaun Bowles, two daughters, Delishia Bowles, and Johnetta Corbin; one brother, Terrance (Alexis) Bowles; one sister, Erica Bowles; a Goddaughter Chauncey Lyons, Jacksonville Florida; ten grandchildren; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and friends. Dana will be loved and missed by all that knew her and will live forever in our hearts.
