Mr. DeAnthony M. Davis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

DeAnthony Marke' Davis, "Dee Dee/Big Dot," was a loving and devoted son, father, brother, and friend. On May 16, 2022, our beloved, DeAnthony departed this earthly life and was called home. He was born on March 27, 1995, to Patricia Mason-Wiggins and Michael Davis. DeAnthony received his education from the Dinwiddie Public School System, Dinwiddie, VA. He graduated with the Dinwiddie High School Class of 2013 with honors and then attended Fortis College of Virginia. He was gainfully employed at Georgia Pacific Plywood, where he gained the nickname "AD." DeAnthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricia Quickley, Vincent Rhodes, Charlie and Nancy Davis; great-grandparents, George and Earnestine Rhodes; uncles, James Davis, Willie Davis, and Franklin Davis; and devoted cousin, Terneil Rhodes. DeAnthony was a kind, sweet, strong-willed, and generous man who gave whole-heartedly. He loved to joke, laugh, and enjoy life. DeAnthony enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an adamant fan of Philadelphia Eagles Football Ball Team and Miami Heat Basketball Team. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and a devoted friend to all. He will be forever loved and missed and there will never be another like him. DeAnthony leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Patricia Mason-Wiggins (Jason Wiggins); his father, Michael Davis (Karen Taylor); his daughter, Malani Davis "his heart"; girlfriend, Alexis Hedgepeth; devoted brothers, Jason Wiggins, Jr. "son", Michael Davis, Jr., and Daquan Mason; two sisters, Dajah Johnson and Neijlia Obrien; godsister, Kierra Thorpe; seven aunts, Arlene Davis, Alfreda Davis, Pearl Davis, Nancy Davis, Mary Davis, Dorothy Davis, and Brenda Ridley; four uncles, John Davis, Henry Davis, Russell Davis, and David Davis; great-aunts, Sylvia Mason, Theatta Rynor, Francine Rhodes, Carol Rhodes, and Vanessa Williams; great-uncle, James Mason, Jr. (Deborah); devoted cousins, Keisha Davis and Jakeya Davis; two devoted friends, Shaneka Martin "Trap" and Charlie Hicks "CJ"; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, friends, co-workers, and extended families. DeAnthony Marke' Davis departed this earthly life to his new heavenly home. God put His arms around him and whispered, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou have been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." Matthew 25:23. We will love you and you will be greatly missed and never forgotten! Public viewing will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 800 Augusta Ave., Petersburg, VA. Rev. Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin, Pastor and Rev. Jameson McLaughlin, officiating. Interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Dinwiddie, VA. The service will be live streamed.
