Ms. Diane Cornelius Lynn Allen, 33, of Petersburg, Virginia went home suddenly to be her Savior on March 18, 2022. Diane was born December 7, 1988 sharing a birthday with her mother. Diane attended Petersburg Public Schools, Petersburg, VA and Chesterfield County Public Schools, Chesterfield, VA graduating in 2007. Diane went to Culinary Arts School, as she would often brag about her cooking skills. Diane, "Lil Di" as we all knew her as, was a pure ray of sunshine that always had a smile on her face when you saw her. Diane was an all around beautiful, smart, caring and sweet young lady who was loved by so many and that loved her family dearly. Diane enjoyed listening to her music, watching her TV shows with laughter and watching CNN. Diane was the ultimate true definition of, "Free Spirit"! To know her was to Love Her! What an honor it was to share 33 years with a beautiful daughter, sister, mom, niece, cousin and friend. Diane was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Frank Sr. and Dora Allen; biological maternal grandfather, Leon Draper; maternal great-grandmother, Virginia S. Morgan; sister, Tia Berry; a loyal cousin, Jonathan Morgan; along with many other family members, too many to name from the Allen, Morgan and Draper Family. Diane leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter, Mi'Angel Allen; devoted mother, Elizabeth Draper; dedicated father, Frank Allen, Jr. (Tonya); caring siblings, Kisha Brooks (La'Keisha), Eboni Allen, Essence Allen and Frank Allen, III (Ashley), Tyron Porter and Shanon Hayes; stepsiblings, Renard Williams, Ricardo (Amanda) Williams, Justin Williams, Leah Delph; maternal grandparents, Ophelia Dodson and Silas Dodson; caring nieces, Kierra, Kianna, and Kimyah Mason, Tynasia Porter, Mar'lasia Coleman, Lyric Phelps-Bey; loving nephews, Franshawn, Franquan, and Shaquan Allen, Onaje Tucker, TraQuanna Fisher; aunt, Diane Copeland; devoted cousins, Clinta, Germell and Derrick Copeland; dedicated and devoted godmother, Monica Christine Jackson; godbrothers, Jerrell and Terrill White; devoted friend of the family, Milton Cutler; and many great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins and other relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Faith and Hope Temple Church of God in Christ, 1800 E. Washington St., Petersburg, VA, Bishop Herman Crockett, Pastor. Minister Bruce Branch will officiate and Evangelist Vanessa Kershaw Little will eulogize. Interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Dinwiddie, VA. Public viewing will be Friday, April 1, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
