Ms. Earlene Hunt McDougal

August 22, 1950 - January 25, 2022

Ms. Earlene Hunt McDougal of Hopewell, Virginia was unexpectedly called home to Glory on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born August 22, 1950 to the late Ms. Ruth Jones of Prince George, VA. Earlene was a faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA. She adored her church family. She retired from Standard Motors Products, Disputanta, VA after 20 years of service. Earlene was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoyed softball, bowling, traveling and spending time with her family. Her grandkids were the joy of her life. Earlene lived life to the fullest. She always welcomed everyone. Her home was like a safe haven and she greeted you with a warm smile and some funny gestures, even if you didn't respond. If you came across our mom's path in this life, you can always remember something nice. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hester Wilson; brothers, John Jones and Henry Jones; sisters, Delores Williams, Fannie Parson and her niece that she loved and talked about on a daily basis, Barbara Heath. Earlene leaves to cherish her memories: her soulmate whom she loved dearly, John R. Jones; two daughters, Eva Fenceroy (Wayne) and Christa Randall (Dwayne); three sons, Melvin Hunt (Shari), David McDougal (Hazel) and Tobias Hunt (Jalisa); three sisters, Ruth Ann Jones, Annette Anderson (Gordon) and Hester Jones; three brothers, Algie Hunt, Robert Jones (Gloria) and Ronnie Jones; two half-sisters, Louise Hill and Theresa Hill; fourteen grandchildren that she adored so much, Shafonte, Alisha, Crystal, David, Jr., Micah, Martina, Melvin, Jr., Zahnae', Joshua, Cassidy, Camden, Shakari, Tobias, Jr., Christian, Jhnai, Recardo and Ka'nyia; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, Debra Ann, Debra, Yashima, Keisha, Dewanna, Shelnika, Chenita, Kierra and Kole Sharita, Tashee and Shaunta; numerous nephews, Timothy, Tino, Lamont, Anthony, John, Arron, Von, Alexander, Melvin, Isiah and Christopher and Marcus, Jr.; a host of other relatives and friends, among them, Betty Fells, Charles Gilliam, Margaret Brent, Patrice Wyche, Joe, Beverly Jones and Edna, Bit and Sue Holloway, who she loved dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held at Spirit Life Worship Center, 4605 Romans Rd., Prince George, VA on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. Rev. William Roberts, pastor of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Hopewell, VA will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Rd., Chester, VA. Public viewing will be Monday, January 31, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. The service will be live streamed.
