(Ret) MSGT Edna Juanita Williams

Retired Master Sergeant Edna J. Williams, 66, was called home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2020 at North Las Vegas VA Medical Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born April 5, 1954 in Petersburg, VA to the late Rev. Ernest J. Johnson and Mrs. Vera R. Johnson. Edna graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1972. She later went on to the University of Phoenix where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services. She retired from the U. S. Air Force after twenty years of service. Edna was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA, while under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Andrew J. White, Sr. Along with her parents, Edna was preceded in death by a sister, Ernestine O. Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories two loving brothers, MSgt Wilbert J. Johnson (Retired U.S. Marine Corp) of Douglasville, GA and MSgt Bernard L. Johnson (Retired U.S. Air Force) (Annette) of Hampton, VA; a sister, Mrs. Vera Dyson of Petersburg, VA; sister-in-law, Mrs., Antonia "Sonja" Johnson of Murrieta, CA; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members; close friends of Las Vegas, NV to include: MSgt Anthony Joseph (Retired U.S. Air Force), Danielle Savage, Lula Studiva and Debra Hooks, along with her close classmates of Petersburg High School Class of 1972. A Homegoing Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Tucker & Fisher Celebration of Life Chapel, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg, VA with Rev. Dr. Andrew J. White, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Petersburg, VA. The service will be live streamed. Public viewing will be Monday, December 28, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. A facial covering will be required while attending all services and viewings.
