Mr. Ernest Carmichael Jr., 78, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 in Newport News, Virginia. Ernest Carmichael Jr. was born in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina to the late Ernest Carmichael Sr. and Teresa (Bessie) Alston Carmichael. Also preceded in death sister Cora Lee Burwell. In May of 1990, Ernest Carmichael Jr. decided to serve his country and joined the United States Air Force. Being in the Air Force allowed him to travel some. He served 20 before retirement. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. if you knew him, you knew that he was dedicated to his family. "God is good all the time" you would often hear him say. His memories will be cherished by his wife Edna Lee Carmichael. Brother's Earl Carmichael, Butch Ranger (Robin). His children are Ernest Carmichael lll, Stephanie Dawkins, Jessica Carmichael, Shannon Jackson. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
