Mr. Jerome William Phifer, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jerome William Phifer Jr. beloved son to Jerome William Phifer Sr. and the late Velma Lee Williams was born August 6, 1964, in Queens, NY, and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Although born and raised in NY, Jerome, affectionately known as Jerry, lived his latter days in Newport News, VA with his life partner, Georgetta Cole, and two youngest daughters Imani and Kassidy Phifer. He also leaves behind his 6 older children, Ebony Mizell, Shataysia Faulk, Bianca Hallmon, Jerome Phifer, Charlie Phifer, and Brianna Phifer, with 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Jerry will be remembered as a loyal, loving, caring, protective, and compassionate, father and man. Jerry was loved by many, he enjoyed dancing, laughing, and for all to have a good time with a focus on the positive aspects of life. Although most of us are hurting, we can try to take solace in the fact that he is now in his eternal resting place with his mother, Velma, and brother, Harry. In his last few years, Jerry insisted on family unification, whether blood relatives or close friends, they were to be there for each other through the good and difficult times. Jerry was known to pass on jewels of wisdom to all who would listen, offering motivational words of encouragement to assist in the hard times that occasionally befell us. Jerry was loved and cherished by his family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors as there was a light in him that could never be dimmed. Jerry's memory will be forever cherished by his children, grandchildren, and siblings Renita Phifer, Iris Hughes, Carmen Phifer, and Lugenia Booker. He leaves behind an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous family and friends.
