Lilpena Courtenaye Allen, 55, passed away peacefully at her residence in Newport News, Virginia on January 1, 2022. Lilpena was born on March 26, 1966, at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA. She was the first child born to George and Pearl Allen. Lilpena, also known by family and friends as Peanut or Peaches. She attended Newport News Public School system. She also attended Warwick High School. She recently enrolled in an adult education program with the city of Newport News. Lilpena will always be remembered for her contagious smile, her enormous personality. Her laugh was distinct and her voice could be heard from miles away, spreading love and cheer along the way. She enjoyed many things, watching tv, playing games on her phone, listening to music, making and designing jewelry. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Having her daughter, Adrian do her hair she always enjoyed. She loved shopping and getting pedicures and manicures. Often she would tell her jokes, which she got from her father. She is preceded in death by her father, George Allen. Both grandmothers and grandfathers. Her life will be cherished by her mother, Pearl Allen, and her two daughters, Adrian Allen and Jennifer Jones, one brother Robert Allen. Seven grandchildren, Nikyia Allen, Julian Allen, Breaunna Allen, Jalisa Allen, Brandan A. Jones Jr., Jayce Jones, and Keymonie Allen all of Newport News, VA. Aunts Doris Davenport, Mary Alston-Davenport of Hampton, VA. Lousie Jones, Maggie Studwell, Sandy Clark all of Newport News, VA. Lots of cousins, friends, and extended family and friends.
