Mrs. Ollie Elizabeth Hill

January 11, 1938 - December 10, 2021

Mrs. Ollie Elizabeth Hill, 83, of Disputanta, Virginia departed this life on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, Virginia. Ollie was born on January 11, 1938 to the late Deacon John Henry Gurley and Lelia Rose Gurley. Ollie went to Disputanta Training School, Disputanta, VA where she graduated in 1956. She followed in her mother's footsteps and became a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Disputanta, VA. She was graciously involved in the Missionary Ministry, Sanctuary Choir, Hospitality Committee (Chairperson), Pastor's Anniversary Committee and she faithfully attended Sunday School. Along with her parents, she was preceded by her brother, James Rose and grandson, Kavon Hill. Ollie is survived by two sons, Wayne Tyrone Hill (Patricia) and Darryl Raynard Hill; a daughter, Brenda Lavonia Hill all of Hopewell, VA; eight grandchildren, Shaquinta Hill, Alonzo Hill, Dennis Hill, Darrell Taylor, Brittany Wyche, Brandon Wyche, Dakarai Wilson and Shyniece Taylor; eight great-children; sister-in-law, Doris Rose; dedicated niece, Lauretta Rose Wyche (Chucky); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Service will be held 12:00 P.M., Thursday, December 16, 2021 at First Baptist Church, 10209 County Dr., Disputanta, VA. Rev. Dr. J. Alfred Reid, pastor will officiate. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Rd, South Prince George, VA. A repast will be held at First Baptist Church immediately after. The service will be live streamed. Public viewing will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
