I took his hand when I heard His call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work, to play. Theodore Marvin Johnson began his earthly life on November 3, 1967. He was born to the late Theodore Johnson and Arvella Johnson in Newport News, Virginia. God called Theodore to rest, on the morning of June 4, 2022, at Bon Secours - St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond Virginia, with his devoted life partner, Sharon Harper by his side. He peacefully transitioned from earth to eternity. Big Teddy as he was affectionally called, was a protector of his children and family. He was humorous, free-spirited and moved to the beat of his own drum. The influence of Big Teddy's life upon others is a flame that will burn brightly forever. Theodore was preceded in death by his sons, Theodore Washington and Reginald Hudgins; father, Theodore Johnson and mother, Arvella Johnson Big Teddy's memories will be cherished by his wife, Montrell Hudgins; beloved daughters, Chene Beldo-Bey (Joseph Beldo-Bey, Jr.), Armani Washington, and Marquiesce Hudgins; sons, Michael Washington, Daunte Hudgins, and Rashauwn Knight; sister, Shehilda Moore; brothers, Terry Johnson (Linda Johnson) and Tracy Moore; twelve grandchildren, a loving and devoted companion, Sharon Harper and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
