Mr. Timothy Eugene Brown
April 28, 1963 - February 8, 2022
Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Timothy "Timmy" Brown, son of the late James C. Corbin and Dorothy Brown, began his life on April 28, 1963, in the city of Newport News, Virginia. He was better known as "Timmy" or "Tim" by his family and friends. He was educated in the Newport News Public Schools. Timmy was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Cordelia (DeeDee) Brown, Helen Debrule, Vanessa Robertson, and oldest brother, George "Junie" Corbin. Timmy was employed by Hampton Roads Sanitation. He loved working on cars like his dad. He also loved to keep up with what was going on within his family and circle of friends. Timmy had a special love for his nephew, Jimmy, who was like a son to him. Jimmy loved his uncle! Timmy was not one for many words but had a big smile that you just could not forget. He accepted Christ during his lifetime and often talked about the Lord. On February 8th, at the age of 58, Timmy's journey came to an end here on earth. Only God knows why, and we know that He makes no mistakes. Knowing Timmy, he would tell us not to worry about him because he is alright now. Timmy is survived by 3 sisters: Betty Copling (Lee), Georgia Wright, Sandra Johnson; 10 brothers: James Brown, Derwin Brown, Willie Brown, Thomas Corbin, Sr.- Maryland, Leon Reid (Josette), William Reid (Sharon)-North Carolina, Willie Corbin, Robert Corbin, Sr. (Gwen), George Reid (Tracey), Kenneth Corbin; and, several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and a host of cousins and friends.
