Mr. William "Bill" Elliott

October 26, 1949 - April 1, 2022

William "Bill" Antia Elliott, 72, of Church Road, Virginia passed away peacefully Friday, April 1, 2022, surrounded by family. Bill was born on October 26, 1949 in Lunenburg County, Virginia, to the late Garland and Bertha Elliott, Jr. He was a member of Poole Christian Church, Church Road, VA. He married the love of his life, Jean, at Sappony Baptist Church, Stony Creek, Virginia on July 13, 1968. He enjoyed bowling, where he met his sweetheart. Bowling was a big part of his younger years. He bowled weekly in a league, where he received many trophies. He also enjoyed acrylic craft painting and watching his many ducks. Bill was a lifelong master carpenter and devoted many years to Walthall Construction. Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean; and daughter, Lisa. He is survived by his daughters, Melinda Elliott Halloway (Allen "Monty"), Sharon Elliott Long (Matthew), and Kathie Elliott Robinson (Mark); grandchildren, Keith Halloway, Christopher Halloway, Maria Salinas (Luis), Cody Long, Sarah Correia, Aaron Long, Julia Correia, Carlie Robinson and Mark Robinson, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Katelynne, Logan and Layla Halloway; lifelong friends, Frank and Venida Shields and best friend Sandra Guernsey. A Memorial Service officiated by Joyce Harville, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Poole Christian Church, 7521 Trinity Church Road, Church Road, Virginia. Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the family by the professional staff of Tucker and Fisher Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
