Mrs. Latara Daven Hudson

In Loving memory of Latara Daven Hudson, a daughter, a sister, a niece, a friend, a wife, a mother, and a Godly woman of faith. Latara Daven Hudson, born on January 31, 1975, entered eternal rest and went home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia at Norfolk Sentara Heart Hospital. She is preceded in death by her beloved biological mother, Sadie Mae Kelly; her biological father, Emmett; her beloved adoptive mother, Evelyn Delores Oglesby; her beloved mother-in-law, Cynthia Ann Hudson; and her brother Stanley Kelly. She was born in Surry County, Virginia, and raised in Hampton, VA. Latara met her husband, Antonio Hudson Sr. at Hampton High School; they became high school sweethearts and married on November 20, 1999, in Newport News, VA. She was a 1994 graduate of Hampton High School (Crabbers}. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Antonio Hudson Sr of Hampton, VA, her brother Harrygan Emmanuel Kelly of Surry County, Virginia, her brother-in-law Andre Hudson and her sister-in-law Belinda Squires both of Newport News, Virginia, her son Antonio Clifton Hudson Jr and daughter Ladaven Ann Hudson both of Hampton, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, church family, and friends, in addition to numerous others that have loved and supported Latara through the years. Latara was a faithful and proud member of New Life Church Hampton, Inc. Latara was a devoted Christian who loved her family deeply and unconditionally. She embraced the journey of wifehood and motherhood, leaving an unforgettable mark of kindness and strength on her children's and husband's hearts. Her kindness, faith, and gentle spirit touched many lives. She was a woman of strength and a true warrior. She never complained and always handled life's difficulties bravely and with class. She was a beautiful woman with a truly beautiful and humble soul, a woman with a gentle spirit and pure heart. She had a way of bringing warmth, laughter, and love to the people around her. She had a wonderful laugh that was very infectious and such warm, big hugs. She always gave compliments and went out of her way to make others feel great! She always loved to tell people how strong minded and non-judgemental they are. She had the kind of love that will stay with you forever. She loved writing, listening to music, watching stand-up comedy and tv, being around family, and drinking tea. She remained steadfast in her faith through many great losses and struggles, setting an example of great faith for many. Fifty-one years of a life so beautifully lived. God called a beautiful soul home, and Heaven gained a beautiful angel, but our hearts here on earth will miss her deeply. All of the memories and moments shared with Latara will always be forever in the hearts of those who knew, loved, and met her. We are thankful that she is in the hands of the Lord, the most secure, loving, and powerful place possible. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Proverbs 31: 31 "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the City gate." John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
