Mrs. Michelle Lawrence

Michelle Denise Lawrence entered eternal life on Monday, September 14, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born on June 23, 1969 in Richmond, VA to Deacon Larnell P. and Cleaster W. Lawrence. Michelle attended the Henrico County Public School System, graduating from Varina High School in 1987. After graduation, Michelle attended Norfolk State University and graduated from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College with an Associate Degree in Business Management. She was employed by Richmond International Airport as a Customer Service Agent for American Airlines, rendering them eight years of service. Michelle accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late, Rev. Dr. James D. Williams. She was a member of the Youth Choir, Junior Usher Board and was faithful to Vacation Bible School. Michelle enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking and spending time with her family, as well as making her daily 7-Eleven trips to support the School System. In 1989, she married the love of her life, Danny, and from that union was born four wonderful children, which she adored. Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Cleaster W. Lawrence; grandmother, Odessa Wallington; aunt, Peggy D. Williams and her uncle, John M. Lawrence. She leaves to celebrate her life her husband of 30 years, Ret. Master Chief Petty Officer Danny K. Lawrence; four children, Jerel D., Dekell M., Denzel M. and Danielle D. Lawrence; her pride and joy granddaughter, Jakaya N. Lawrence; devoted father, Deacon Larnell P. Lawrence; one sister, Leticia L. Walker (Marcus); one brother-in-law; five sisters-in law; a host of aunts and uncles, among them devoted James, Jr. and Darlene Wallington; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, among them devoted, Deborah M. Walker and Elder Roderick A. Carroll. Public viewing will be held 10 am to 6 pm, Friday, September 18, 2020 at Tucker and Fisher Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg, VA. A Celebration of Life will take place, 12 noon, Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Hope Point Church, 10500 Newbys Bridge Rd., Chesterfield, VA with Elder Roderick A. Carroll, Eulogist and Rev. Jonathan Stells, Officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, VA. The service will be live streamed.
