Ms. Patria Zanders

Patria was born on October 30, 1993 to Michael and Patria Zanders. God chose her to be an angel in His Army on March 14, 2018. Many of you may know her as “Nece,” “Nina,” “Nee Nee,” or her least favorite nickname that her mom called her, “Lula Mae Zanders.” Whatever name you were privy to know her by, we all must agree that she leaves this world behind much better because of the joy she brought to us all. Everyone she has met has been influenced by her spirit and touched by the light of God. She loves board games, search puzzles, music, dancing, and her other best buddy, “Dezul,” her service animal that is a Rottweiler. Patria and her sister were Child Fund International Sponsors. They sponsored Kamilly from Brazil. She loved the color yellow. She liked many movies but her favorites were: Hangover II and Blindside. Her favorite songs were: Father Can You Hear Me and Love on Top. Things she don’t like: SGT Warp (we’ll explain that later), spiders, and the song “It’s a Small World.” Job Titles: Sous-chef: Always willing to help out in the kitchen giving advice while telling anyone cooking that’s not how my momma cooks it. Neighborhood watch: for Splawn Ranch from 2009 – 2017. We still cannot figure how she knew what was going on around the corner from the house but she was always up to date on what was going on in Splawn Ranch. Certified babysitter: She cared for infants, toddlers, and children of all ages. Nece was also a member of PETA, as she ensured all pets were properly fed, walked, and bathed. Fashion designer: She had a way of ensuring her socks, ear rings, watch, hair bow, and jewelry always matched her outfit. No matter what color she wore. Teacher’s assistant: She always felt as though she was responsible for all the other kids in her classes throughout her school years. She knew details about every kid in her class and would talk to you about each and every one of them like the event happened yesterday when it happened last week or sometimes years ago. She is survived by Patria (mother), Michael (father), and Mi’CHA’el (sister), and Michael II (brother). She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she has touched!
